Wedding Planner Tips for the Bride-to-Be

The Wedding Planner

Congratulations! You're engaged. Now you can start planning for the big day!

So let's see - you'll need to decide on a place to hold the wedding, a place for the reception, menu, caterer, flowers... oh my god, we'll need bridesmaids... who shall I ask? And should we have a flowergirl and ring bearer? We'll need flowers, music - and wait! my dress. Invitations and... whoa! Way out of hand!

You can simplify the whole preparation process. Yes, you could hand the whole shebang over to a professional. But you'll still want to give input, right?

And if you're like most of us, you'll want to have the wedding of your dreams, but not at an exorbitant price. What if you could save something on every item, from the catering to the wedding favors? That would save you a bundle.

I'd like to recommend a book you can get TODAY which will see you through all your preparations, helping you make choices and save money.

Amy Sykes has over 10 years experience in wedding planning, coordinating and catering. She shares the same information in this book that she shared with her brides. And guess what - using this guide, you will enjoy your wedding planning experience!

This is a step-by-step wedding guide that will help you plan your perfect day. It includes money-saving techniques, planning timelines, worksheets, critical questions to ask, and much more.

Amy covers the five most important areas that can make or break your event:
  • Ceremony and reception
  • Catering and beverages
  • Photography and videography
  • Music and entertainment
  • Bridal attire

You'll also learn about wedding insurance, a bride's timeline, flowers and decorations, cakes and toppers, invitations and stationery, attendant responsibilities and more.

You do need an expert to help you plan your wedding. Amy not only shows you how to arrange all the above - she even gives you the meaning behind many wedding traditions.

Planning Your Wedding Without Stress

Wedding Planner

Planning a wedding is a lot of fun. It also takes a lot of time, and there are a ton of decisions to make. Your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event - make sure you do enjoy it! Don't get stressed!

Here are a few tips:

  1. Either hire a professional wedding planner or delegate everything! You're the bride and groom - this is all in your honor. Your friends and family will love giving you the best they can and sharing your happiness.
  2. Pick up a good "how-to" book, such as Wedding Planner Tips to get ideas and know what what needs to be done.
  3. Meet with your planners once a week to make decisions, so that you get what you want. Have all the information in front of you, so that you're comfortable in knowing the wedding plan is covering everything.
  4. Make a wedding budget and stick to it. That way, you can relax about the cost.
  5. Brides! Finish your to-do list a week before your wedding. Make sure your wedding dress is ready by then, and that you have scheduled your beauty appointments. Have your undergarments ready. You don't want to find that seams mar your smooth wedding dress, or that the straps show, as you're getting dressed on the day of your wedding.
  6. Have your wedding vows written a week before the wedding - you can always tweak them if you want to during that last week. You don't want to panic over the vows in the last days before the wedding.
  7. Spend that last week calmly preparing yourself, inside and out. Spend time with friends, family and visiting relatives.
  8. Keep emergency supplies handy - safety pins, extra hair pins, breath mints, shoe cleaner. Have your maid of honor hold on to the emergency supplies for you.
  9. And most importantly - accept the way things turn out when the big event is happening. Plan what you can, and accept the things you can't control. The important thing is that you are marrying the one you love and preparing for a lifetime together. Nothing else is important!
